Over the past 24 hours, Magen David Adom teams provided medical treatment to 56 people, including 44 with physical injuries and 12 suffering from anxiety symptoms.

This morning (Wednesday), sirens were heard across the country due to multiple missile launches toward Israel:
06:23 – Missile launch from Yemen, no casualties reported.
07:43 – Missile launch toward central Israel, resulting in 29 casualties.

Following the missile launch at 07:43, Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to multiple scenes in central Israel.
At the missile strike site in Bnei Brak, 15 people were injured: 14 with physical injuries and 1 suffering from anxiety symptoms.
Among the physically injured: 1 in critical condition, 2 in moderate condition, and 11 in mild condition, injured by the missile impact and shrapnel.
MDA teams also provided medical treatment across the country to 14 people injured while seeking shelter, including a 6-year-old boy from Rishon Lezion who was hit by a vehicle during the siren and sustained moderate injuries.
In total, MDA teams treated 29 people, including 28 with physical injuries: An 11-year-old girl in critical condition with shrapnel injuries to her limbs, A 36-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy in moderate condition, injured by shrapnel, a 6-year-old boy in moderate condition from Rishon Lezion, hit by a vehicle while seeking shelter, and 24 others injured by blast impact or while running to shelters. Additionally, 1 person was treated for anxiety symptoms.
MDA Paramedic Issachar Weiss: “We received a report of a missile impact and arrived quickly with ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and rapid response medicycles. We saw destruction at the scene and several conscious casualties walking around. An 11-year-old girl was semi-conscious with limb injuries from shrapnel. We provided life-saving treatment on site and evacuated her by MDA mobile intensive care unit to the hospital in serious condition. Meanwhile, additional MDA teams treated and evacuated other casualties for further hospital care.”
MDA Senior EMT Lipa Hirsch said: “During the scene search, we found a 13-year-old boy conscious, injured by the blast. We moved him to an MDA ambulance and evacuated him to hospital in moderate condition. Meanwhile, we continued searching with additional teams to ensure no further casualties at the site.”
MDA Medicycle Unit EMT, Shira Rut Chen, said: “During the siren, we received a report of a child hit by a vehicle. We quickly arrived and found the child conscious with a head injury. He told us he was on his way to a shelter and was hit by a vehicle. We provided treatment on site and evacuated him in an MDA mobile intensive care unit to the hospital in stable condition.”

We saw destruction on the upper floor and began searching the upper levels. A 7-year-old boy was fully conscious. I immediately understood that he needed to be evacuated quickly from the building, so I lifted him and got him out fast. We are continuing to search and ensure there are no casualties or people who need assistance.”

In the Arad area, MDA EMTs and paramedics are providing medical treatment to numerous patients, including a 5-year-old girl in serious condition, 11 patients in moderate condition, and several others in mild condition. MDA Emergency Medical Technician Yakir Talkar said: “This is a very serious scene. We arrived with large numbers of ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and MDA medicycles. We saw many patients with varying degrees of injuries caused by a missile strike. We immediately began setting up a casualty collection point, triaged the patients according to injury severity, and provided life-saving medical treatment. There is extensive destruction and chaos at the scene; teams are conducting comprehensive searches at this moment, and we will continue to operate here as needed.“
Daily Summary 17th March 2026
Tonight (Wednesday, March 18) at 00:16, missiles were fired at the State of Israel and sirens were heard across the Gush Dan area. Within minutes, numerous reports were received at Magen David Adom’s 101 emergency dispatch centre about explosions, vehicles on fire, and missile fragment impacts. At one of the scenes, devastation was reported in an apartment on the fifth floor of a residential building in Ramat Gan.
Large numbers of MDA teams were dispatched to the scenes and conducted searches. Casualties were located at three scenes: at the central scene in Ramat Gan, MDA teams found a man and a woman in their 70s unconscious in an apartment, with critical injuries from a missile strike. They were not breathing and had no pulse, and their deaths were pronounced at the scene. At two additional scenes, MDA teams treated two people with minor shrapnel injuries, along with several anxiety victims and civilians injured on their way to shelters.
MDA paramedic Inbar Green and MDA EMT Naftali Halberstadt, who arrived at the scene in Ramat Gan, said: “When we arrived, we saw heavy smoke and destruction in a residential building. There was shattered glass and scattered items. During searches inside the apartment, two casualties were found unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with severe injuries to their bodies. We performed medical assessments, but they showed no signs of life and we had to pronounce them dead. Together with additional MDA teams, we continued searching the scene and did not locate any additional physical casualties.“
MDA Director General Eli Bin said: “This is a difficult, painful scene, with a direct hit on a residential building. MDA teams acted very quickly at multiple scenes simultaneously and provided medical treatment to the injured. Unfortunately, at the scene in Ramat Gan, paramedics had to pronounce the deaths of an elderly man and woman. We once again call on the public to follow the life-saving instructions of the Home Front Command.“

MDA Vehicle hit in Bnei Brak
MDA Spokesperson: Following the scene in Bnei Brak MDA senior EMT Ben Zion Himmel said: “We saw extensive destruction on the street, and nearby we noticed an MDA rapid response vehicle that had been hit by shrapnel. The windows were shattered and the airbags deployed as a result of the impact. At the scene, we saw one injured person who was fully conscious with a minor shrapnel injury. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in stable condition.”

Two dead in Ramat Gan
At the scene in Ramat Gan, MDA EMTs and paramedics pronounced the deaths of a man and a woman who sustained severe shrapnel injuries.
At the scene in Bnei Brak, MDA EMTs and paramedics provided medical treatment to a man in his 20s in mild condition with shrapnel injuries to his hand, and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital.
MDA paramedics Inbar Green and MDA EMT Naftali Halberstadt, who were on scene in Ramat Gan, said: “We saw smoke rising from a building with extensive damage and shattered glass. From among the debris, we saw two unconscious casualties, with no pulse and not breathing, with severe injuries to their bodies. We conducted medical assessments, but they had no signs of life, and we had no choice but to pronounce them dead at the scene. Together with additional MDA teams, we are continuing to search locations where reports were received for additional casualties and are prepared to provide further medical treatment if required.”

In the past 24 hours (until 19:00) MDA teams provided medical treatment to 70 people across the country, including:
4 who were injured by interceptor missile debris: 1 in moderate condition, 3 in mild condition.

MDA EMT David Gross said: “There was damage to two floors at the scene. When we arrived, we called out for anyone who was injured and able to exit to come outside, while rescue operations for the building’s residents were underway. MDA EMTs and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated to hospitals in the north approximately 30 local residents, including: 1 in moderate condition with shrapnel injuries to the back. All others are in very mild condition from glass shards and suffering from anxiety symptoms. Updates as required.
MDA teams also treated several people suffering from anxiety symptoms at the scene.
MDA EMT Eran Abo said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw damage to several homes and shattered glass. At the scene we saw a 34-year-old woman suffering from a back injury caused by shrapnel, and her condition is defined as moderate, as well as a 17-year-old girl who was mildly injured by broken glass. We provided them with advanced medical treatment and evacuated them to the hospital. Additional MDA teams are currently at the scene treating several people suffering from anxiety symptoms.”

There were several casualties on site, including a 46-year-old man who was fully conscious, suffering from injuries. Today (Sunday), at approximately 13:43, reports were received at Magen David Adom’s 101 Emergency Dispatch Center regarding casualties resulting from a missile strike in Beit Shemesh. Large-scale MDA forces were immediately dispatched to the scene, including ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs), and MDA first responders on Medicycles.
MDA paramedics pronounced 9 casualties dead at the scene. They provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated 46 injured patients to Hadassah Har Hatzofim, Hadassah Ein Kerem, Shaare Zedek, and Shamir-Assaf Harofeh hospitals. Among the injured: 2 in serious condition – a 37-year-old woman with limb injuries and a 4-year-old boy with glass shard injuries to his limbs – 2 in moderate condition, and 42 in light condition.
*MDA Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Yosef Laufer said:* “Upon receiving the report at the dispatch center about a strike and several destroyed buildings, large numbers of ambulances and MICUs were dispatched to the location. When we arrived, we observed significant destruction at the scene and residents being rescued from the buildings. We provided medical treatment to several casualties, including a 10-year-old girl, and others with varying degrees of injuries. Additional MDA teams treated more victims who were pulled from the rubble.”
*MDA EMT Yehuda Shlame, among the first to arrive at the scene, said*: “I was in the area when the sirens began. I entered a protected space and heard a massive explosion. Moments later, a call came in about a strike on several buildings near me. I immediately headed to the site in my ambulance. It was a difficult sight. Heavy damage to structures, smoke in the air, and large chaos as dozens of panicked residents emerged from the affected buildings. Through the commotion, I noticed a 37-year-old woman approaching me, deeply distressed and suffering from significant limb injuries. I calmed her down and began initial medical treatment. Within minutes, more MDA teams arrived, conducted searches for additional victims, and provided care. I then evacuated her to the hospital in serious but stable condition.”
*MDA EMT Tzvi David*: “When we arrived, we saw homes with extensive destruction, collapsed trees, and shattered windows throughout the area. A woman in her 60s was trapped under a piece of concrete and called for help. Together with other MDA responders, we lifted the concrete and rescued her to a MICU, which evacuated her in stable condition. Later, civilians flagged us down, reporting three children trapped in a locked room. Alongside firefighting forces, we rescued the three children and provided medical care. They were evacuated in mild condition.”
*MDA Paramedic Dror Eini said*: “We saw destroyed homes, flames, and smoke rising from residential buildings, crushed cars, and immense chaos. I saw three casualties lying on the ground with no signs of life and was forced to pronounce them dead. Subsequently, other paramedics pronounced six more victims dead. MDA teams treated and evacuated 46 casualties to hospitals, including two in serious condition.”
*MDA Medicycle Unit Paramedic Nati Ben Shimon*: “Upon arrival, we witnessed heavy destruction involving several severely damaged buildings. Some victims were trapped in their apartments and were brought to us by rescue teams. It was a harrowing sight – we identified four victims in critical condition with severe multi-system trauma. Simultaneously, teams treated two seriously injured individuals and several others in moderate or light condition, as well as those suffering from anxiety. We established a forward triage point near the scene and evacuated all casualties quickly and orderly to the hospitals.”

Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, Magen David Adom, has transported 226 patients – in 99 trips – from medical facilities to secured and protected hospitals, using specialised vehicles including Intensive Care buses with 7 critical care beds each, 2-bed and single-patient MICUs, and life support ambulances.
This is a joint operation at the request of the Ministry of Health, and in cooperation with hospitals in northern and central Israel.
The transfer allowed for not only secure facilities for the patients, but also continuous care during the transfer itself, under the supervision of MDA EMTs and Paramedics.

MDA Spokesperson: Following the rocket fire toward the State of Israel:
A report was received at MDA’s 101 dispatch center in the Dan region about a man who fell down the stairs on his way to a protected space in Ramat Gan. MDA EMTs and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated a 102-year-old man to Ichilov Hospital in serious and unstable condition with a serious head injury.
MDA EMTs Yosef Pinz and Gilad Golinsky:
“We received a report at MDA’s 101 dispatch center about an elderly man who fell down the stairs as a result of the Red Alert siren. When we arrived, we saw a 102-year-old man lying unconscious at the bottom of the staircase. We immediately recognized that he was suffering from a severe head injury and required urgent medical treatment. We ventilated him on scene and, while continuing to provide medical care, and evacuated him in an MDA MICU to hospital in serious and unstable condition.”

MDA Summary for the First Day of Highest State of Alert
A woman in her fifties was killed and 121 people were injured, including: 2 in moderate condition and 119 in mild condition.*
During the first day, Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to dozens of scenes across Israel following various missile strike incidents.
MDA paramedics and EMTs provided medical treatment and evacuated a total of 121 casualties to hospitals nationwide, including: a woman in her fifties who was killed, 2 patients in moderate condition, and 119 in mild condition.

MDA teams provided medical treatment and evacuated 28 casualties to Ichilov Hospital and Sheba Medical Center, including: a woman in her fifties with no signs of life who was pronounced dead at the scene, 2 patients in moderate condition, and 25 in mild condition.
MDA urges the public to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command, which save lives, to continue acting responsibly, and to call MDA at the emergency number 101 for any medical need.

Since the beginning of the emergency: Magen David Adom teams are at peak readiness and have provided medical treatment to 89 lightly injured casualties*
With the launch of the highest alert and the declaration of a Special Emergency Situation on the Home Front this morning (Saturday, 28.2 at 08:20), Magen David Adom raised its alert level to the maximum. All MDA ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICUs), emergency medicycles, and rapid response vehicles were fully staffed, and all 39,000 employees and volunteers of the organization were mobilized to provide fast and efficient medical response to any need.
Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to provide medical treatment at several scenes, arriving in very large numbers of ambulances, Mobile Intensive Care Units, and responders on MDA emergency medicycles. They treated 89 casualties, all in light condition, including: a 16-year-old male injured by shrapnel in Kafr Qassem; a man approximately 50 years old injured by blast impact in Ka’abiyye-Tabbash; a 53-year-old man who fell from a height in Tirat Carmel; 86 individuals who sustained minor injuries while making their way to protected areas; and 6 individuals suffering from anxiety.
At the request of the Ministry of Health, Magen David Adom teams are transferring bedridden patients, ventilated patients, and others from their current locations to protected facilities, using MDA’s special intensive care buses, Mobile Intensive Care Units, and ambulances.
Magen David Adom’s EMTs and paramedics continue to remain at peak readiness to provide immediate medical response as needed.
MDA is also holding nationwide blood drives to ensure supplies for all hospitals across Israel.

Magen David Adom Teams finalised the transition from Routine to Emergency Operations; On Highest Alert.
The Director General of MDA held a situational assessment with all MDA officials. MDA is fully prepared to provide medical response to anyone in need.
